You can play the whole of Far Cry 5 in co-op

As revealed in a trailer at Sony's Paris Games Week shindig yesterday, players will be able to play through the whole of Far Cry 5 with an online friend.

While the cooperative features should satisfy players that look forward to it, Ubisoft isn't forcing it on anyone. However, the host player is the only player who will keep their story progress. Unlike Far Cry 5's co-op mode items earned in co-op, mode was saved in co-op mode, not the single player game. You will be able to join up with a friend to take on enemies, hunt for wildlife, drive the wide array of vehicles, and explore the world.

Ubisoft releases a new trailer for Far Cry 5 showing off co-op play for their highly anticipated 2018 shooter. Far Cry 5 is taking a radical departure from previous games in the series, at least with its setting.

Take control of iconic muscle cars, ATV's, planes and a lot more to engage the cult forces in epic fights.

Next year's Far Cry 5 fixes that, but it introduces a few of its own problems. Recruit Guns and Fangs for hire to help defeat the cult.

Welcome to Hope County, Montana, land of the free and the courageous but also home to a fanatical doomsday cult known as Eden's Gate. In Far Cry 3, there was a separate side-story that you could play with a friend.

Usefully, Far Cry 5 keeps players together, teleporting one closer to the other if someone wanders too far away.
