She has been adopted, along with her younger brother and sister, having been fostered by the couple for the past two years.

Tannah's friend Miss Jackie Alexander, an office manager at Tannah's school, called her to the office to give her the news she had waited years for.

Footage shows Tannah launch into Ms Alexander's arms after learning she was going to her "forever home".

"We just feel like we're ordinary people that are taking care of three children that we love and want to be part of our family", she said.
"She just held me tighter and tighter and I took advantage of that".

In the course of recent years, the 11-year-old and her family had developed near the workplace director at her school. "I can't depict that hug...and thank sky her mother wouldn't fret that I kissed her a million times, and a million more after the film cuts off".

"It's the biggest thing that ever happened to me", Tannah said.

'They are just caring, loving, they take really good care of me, ' said Tannah. "My heart was so happy", she said.

Jennifer Fisher told KSL that the video was a sweet surprise, and the internet's reaction to it was, too.

Butterfield's mom, Jennifer Fisher, said there had been many setbacks in finalizing the adoption but is glad that they persevered. "It's not something I get to do every day". Alexander said she posted the video on Instagram because she wanted to remind people that joy still does exist in the world.
