Oscarine Masuluke goal makes final short-list for #PuskasAward!

In this week's episode of the Big Interview we speak to Baroka FC goalkeeper Oscarine Masuluke.

Masuluke, who plays for South African club Baroka FC, came forward to score a late overhead kick to earn a 1-1 draw against Orlando Pirates last November.

Federation Internationale de Football Association on Monday confirmed the final three candidates for the award on their official website.

On Monday, Fifa confirmed the final shortlist for the prize, which will be handed out in London on 23 October.

Giroud's extraordinary strike, which created headlines around the world due to its creativity and technical brilliance, means the Arsenal striker is the first Frenchman to reach the final three.

As with many awards in South Africa, that gong came down to a popularity contest as the fans voted for Kaizer Chiefs stalwart Siphiwe Tshabalala's goal.

Voting will remain open until the day of the awards ceremony itself, on 23 October, with the victor of the fan vote receiving their award onstage at the historic London Palladium.

Fifa announced on Monday that SA's Baroka FC goalkeeper Oscarine Masuluke's incredible bicycle-kick goal has made the final short-list of three for the 2017 Fifa Puskás Award for the "most attractive goal of the season".

A shortlist of 10 was announced last month but has now been trimmed down based on initial votes from supporters, with fans still holding the opportunity to pick their victor until October 23.
