Ghost Recon: Wildlands Free To Play This Weekend On PC and Consoles

This update is also free to all players and is available starting on October 10th. The free weekend will enable access to the full game, with no restrictions, and also allow you to check out the new Ghost War mode.

All things considered, it's great to see Ubisoft finally adding the free PvP mode to Ghost Recon: Wildlands, as fans have been on pins and needles in anticipation of its release ever since it was announced as a possibility back in March of this year.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands is a tactical shooter game set in an open world environment and played from a third-person perspective with an optional first person view for gun aiming. Progress has been confirmed to carry on from the free-to-play segment. Players can try a wide array of weapons, abilities, and vehicles that let you tackle each situation using whatever strategy you choose.

Ubisoft explained through the game's forums that the maintenance will only affect the online aspect of the game.

As this is a celebration of the PvP mode, please note that the developers are planning on expanding this experience.

While Ghost War is launching with plenty of features, Ubisoft is planning on expanding it in the months to come with new maps, new classes, and new modes. All of these updates will remain free for all players; pretty awesome right?

Tell your friends about the Ghost Recon Wildlands free weekend on October 12th-15th. New classes can be unlocked through Prestige Credits (earned in-game). This is the ideal game to play in a group of friends. Ghost Recon Wildlands Season Pass owners receive new classes for free and one week earlier.
