Haryana Police team inspects Honeypreet's Bathinda 'hideout'

Now Honeypreet and her close aide Sukhdeep Kaur have been taken to a location which is undisclosed and hard to be traced.

Honeypreet, whose real name is Priyanka Taneja, was arrested by the Haryana Police on October 3 in connection with the deadly violence that had claimed 35 lives. Honeypreet is now spending her time in Panchkula police lock-up which even lacks a ceiling fan.

The Punjab and Haryana high court on Monday admitted for hearing Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim's appeal against his conviction in the rape cases. Dera Chief Gurmeet Singh has been sentenced 20 years of imprisonment for raping two of his aides and is residing now in Rohtak jail.

On 5 October, Honeypreet was taken to Bathinda- where she was allegedly hiding before being nabbed- for investigations into charges of sedition, a day after a court in Panchkula sent her to six days police remand. Gurmeet Singh Ram Rahim is now serving his sentence in Rohtak's Suneria jail. Gupta claimed he married Honeypreet in 1999 on the direction of the Dera chief before filing for divorce in 2011.

As per sources Honeypreet Insan has been asked approximately 300 questions but none of them were answered properly by her. His conviction led to violence in Panchkula and Sirsa in Haryana, leaving 38 people dead and another 264 injured. According to media reports, Honeypreet had presided over a meeting where it was allegedly decided that the supporters would create a ruckus if Gurmeet Ram Rahim was held guilty. Gurmeet's counsel S K Garg Narvana told the division bench that all the Dera properties have been "attached" and he is not in a position to pay the 30 lakh fine imposed by the Special CBI Court. Isolated incidents of violence were also reported from Delhi and several places in Punjab.
