Sam Bradford feels 'much better,' trending toward playing vs. Bears

To beat the Bears, the Vikings will have to eliminate turnovers and stop a Chicago running game that tore through the Steelers for 222 yards two weeks ago.

Rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, the No. 2 overall pick out of North Carolina, is scheduled to make his National Football League debut after the Bears benched ineffective starter Mike Glennon.

After leading the Vikings to a decisive victory over New Orleans to start the season, Bradford watched Case Keenum take his place in a lopsided loss at Pittsburgh, a commanding win over Tampa Bay and a narrow defeat by Detroit.

The Vikings announced that Bradford is listed as questionable on their most recent injury report. The Chicago Bears ground game is averaging 117.5 yards per contest, and Jordan Howard leads the way with 252 yards and four touchdowns. Trubisky completed 67.5 percent of his passes for 41 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in three seasons at North Carolina. The Bears are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games, 5-2 ATS in their last 7 Monday games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. NFC.

The Vikings played two rookie quarterbacks last season, Philadelphia's Carson Wentz and Dallas' Dak Prescott, and limited both to less than 150 yards passing.

Bradford went on to have a spectacular season past year, recording 3,877 passing yards, 20 touchdowns and five interceptions while completing a league-best 71.6 percent of his passing attempts and compiling a passer rating of 99.3. The Vikings recently signed veteran back Stevan Ridley to replace Cook's spot on the roster.

"They run the normal plays with him but he could bounce the ball pretty much anywhere", Zimmer added. "The offensive line does the same thing". In the past 15 games at the open-air stadium, the Bears have won 13, including defeating the Vikings 20-10 previous year in one of only three wins by Chicago in 2016.

Being favored at Soldier Field is nothing new for the Vikings. Defensively, Minnesota is allowing 19 points and 318 yards per game.
