Mother Charged In Brutal Death Of Her 4-Year-Old Son

If convicted, the woman faces life in prison.

According to the complaint, authorities were called about smoke at DiStasio's south side apartment September 28 and found her son Antonio's burned and lifeless body in the bathtub. Smoke was observed coming from the stove, and a pile of clothing in the bathroom (in the bathtub) was noted to be smoking.

An autopsy revealed that the boy's hands and arms were bound to his sides with seven belts, according to the complaint.

It appeared the victim's body had been set on fire, and an unknown accelerant had been used.

His pet guinea pig was also discovered next to the bathtub - drowned in its cage.

The police found an open bottle of canola cooking oil near the boy's body.

A Milwaukee lady associated with murdering her 4-year-old child with a mental imbalance is blamed for bouncing him with belts and setting him ablaze before his passing, as indicated by court reports.

The smoke detector had been ripped from its fixture and placed in water. The autopsy also revealed "significant charring" to his skin and thermal injuries "to the majority of his body".

One of the responses she got reportedly said to 'kill it with fire'. "I got to hope that Antonio is in heaven and I got to pray that Amelia gets help if she needs help and I believe she does", Amelia's father Ralph Di Stasio told the station.

'Please mommy, stop! I won't do it again!' he said, according to a neighbor who overheard the unfolding incident. "I won't do it again!" She was eventually found by police. Amelia responded by yelling at him to "shut up", according to WITI.

"I just want to know, I want to understand why", her sister told reporters.

According to the Milwaukee Journal sentinel, witnesses saw a "frazzled" woman jump from an apartment window the morning of the blaze, before fire trucks arrived.

After this search, the cell phone accessed a message board that was dedicated to an online game which is billed online as a horror survival game in which players fight cannibals. Prosecutors say she had been meaning to spell the word cannibal. The board contained posts about killing cannibals with fire and stated cannibals "often like to bath in oil".
