Instagram Polls is embarrassing users who thought their votes were anonymous

If you're a fan of Instagram or Facebook Stories - posts of photos and videos which automatically disappear after 24 hours - you'll now be able to send to both platforms with a single post.

While the option to post Facebook Stories to Instagram Stories has not come yet, the company said it might bring it in near future.

We knew the feature was in the works in early September, but now TechCrunch says it's official and just a matter of rolling it out to all users. So if you have friends who aren't on Instagram, they'll be able to see your Stories too. Facebook has confirmed that Instagram users can show share their Stories directly on Facebook easily.

Well, even though you can now share your Instagram Story directly on Facebook Story, the opposite of that isn't possible right now. After all, no one uses Facebook Story. But Facebook's own implementation of the functionality hasn't seen widespread user adoption at all. This increasing interoperability between Facebook and Instagram may worry those at Snapchat, as user growth has been dropping over the last few months. The new feature allows you to add a two-answer poll on top of your Stories that your friends and followers can answer with a tap, just like adding the location sticker. This would actually be useful as it would save a lot of time of those users who share the same content across different platforms owned by Facebook.
