President Trump at dinner with military commanders cites 'calm before the storm'

When asked by reporters to explain, Trump refused, saying: "You'll find out".

The administration was considering October 12 for Trump to give a speech on Iran but no final decision had been made, an official said previously. I will tell you that.

"We have the world's great military people, thank you all for coming", he concluded the meeting. Then, at 3 p.m., he met Republican National Committee Chair Ronna Romney McDaniel before meeting with the military leaders in the Cabinet Room at the White House.

The White House is outright refusing to explain the President's statement.

Word is President Trump will "decertify" the Iran nuclear deal next week, giving Congress 60 days to decide whether to stay in the agreement or void it by imposing new sanctions on Iran.

The Trump administration said, "We are fully committed to addressing the totality of Iranian threats and malign activities".

It was argued that Trump would probably make a speech on Middle East on October 12th and declare a more comprehensive Iranian plan.

He also expressed hope that the final decision of US President Donald Trump on the nuclear deal with Iran will be balanced.

A mid-October deadline for recertifying Iran's compliance with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is coming closer with the US president being opposed by the Congress on the future of the agreement.

"In North Korea, our goal is denuclearization", he said, according to Reuters. He accused Iran of not living up to the deal.

Iran had agreed to the deal in 2015 with the USA and five other countries, promising to limit their nuclear activity. The European signatories to the deal - the UK, France and Germany - have urged Trump to uphold it, and are now focusing their energies on lobbying Congress not to reimpose sanctions, which could prove fatal to the agreement.

On Wednesday, Trump traveled to Las Vegas to meet with the victims of the recent mass shooting. Trump asked the press, during a brief photo op after the dinner.
