United Kingdom police raid conduct major operation in Manchester, swooping on budget hotel

The Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that an operation was underway in response to the death of a minor.

Police in the Greater Manchester area have launched an investigation after a 17 month old boy died after he was reportedly hit twice by a vehicle in a busy hotel auto park on Thursday evening.

Witnesses reported seeing a woman with blood on her body screaming and crying outside the hotel after the incident.

The police operation has been underway in the Ibis Budget Hotel in Salford Quays in Greater Manchester.

Reports say a number of eyewitnesses heard loud screams in the area before police and rescue services arrived at the scene.

"Officers from the Greater Manchester Police Serious Collision Unit and other emergency services are now at the scene", police said yesterday.

More than 10 emergency vehicles were seen lined up outside the hotel after the incident.

Police were called to reports of a collision involving a child and Toyota Rav-4 at a auto park shortly after 9pm on Thursday, according to reports. "Enquiries ongoing", police wrote.
