Bet You Missed This *Super* Brief Celeb Appearance on 'Game of Thrones'

Some "Game of Thrones" fans might have been disappointed to find out that Syndergaard was on the side of the irascible Lannister clan rather than the Stark-backed Targaryen alliance during the episode's fierce battle. It's baseball fans that should be pumped, as Noah Syndergaard, the New York Mets' All-Star pitcher, made a highly anticipated (if ever-so-brief) appearance in the fourth episode of the HBO drama's seventh season.

That's not all. Syndergaard uses the "Game of Thrones" theme song to warm up for games and his long, blonde hair make him seem like a natural fit for the show.

The Mets did not fare much better than Syndergaard on Sunday night: they lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-0. This post has spoilers in it, so if you haven't watched the most recent episode of GoT, you probably want to stop reading.

"It's a dream come true", Syndergaard told Sports Illustrated back in April of his turn as a Lannister soldier. "To be able to say I was on Game of Thrones is an unbelievable feeling". From Glee to Gilmore Girls and, more recently, Showtime's revival of Twin Peaks, it's pretty cool when we see a famous face pop up in a different setting. Also, Icelandic music groups Sigur Ros and Of Monsters and Men have landed themselves on the show. "It was very secretive", he said.

It's not known if throwing that spear aggravated Syndergaard's torn lat.
