Wilfork also ranks 14th on the club's all-time tackles list, with 355 tackles in 158 games played. He spent his final two years with the Texans.

Wilfork announced that he's retiring by posting a sponsored video on Twitter.

Houston Texans nose tackle Vince Wilfork watches from the bench during the second half against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Jacksonville, Fla., on October 18, 2015.

"Peace out, I'm outta here, later", he says as he puffs a cigar.

Wilfork, shirtless and adorned in denim overalls sporting his number 75, can be seen dancing and pulling ribs from a Kingsford smoker. The Patriots are at home to Kansas City Chiefs on the opening day of the season.

Wilfork has hung up his boots with two rings of Super Bowl wins with the Patriots. He won a pair of Super Bowls during his 10-year career with the Patriots, becoming one of the franchise's most personable players in the process.

Over his 11 seasons here, Wilfork had 355 tackles, 5 forced fumbles, 12 fumble recoveries, 16 sacks, and 3 memorable interceptions. When Wilfork left New England prior to the 2015 season to join the Texans, he was brought in to stabilize a talented defensive line anchored by J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney.
