For Honor is Getting a Free Weekend From Thursday

PlayStation 4 owners who have a PlayStation Plus membership will be able to try out Ubisoft's For Honor this weekend completely free of charge, but the deal will only be active for a limited time. First they outlined a detailed development schedule aimed at injecting a number of fixes and fresh content into the game; then they took the wraps off Grudge & Glory, For Honor's third major DLC drop.

Ubisoft shared the news via a post on the PlayStation Blog, detailing that the For Honor free weekend will take place august 10 - 13.

Ubisoft's been making quite the push to get more players into their melee-focused combat game For Honor. Given the multiplayer focus, PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold will be required to play.

As part of this promotion, For Honor's Standard and Gold Editions (which comes with the season pass) will see a temporary price reduction from August 10 to 15. While the PC players will be able to play the game for free on 10 alongside console players, the PC free weekend will end early on 13 August at 9pm. Free! This is the full game, mind you - the whole kit and caboodle. Preloading will begin on August 8, and any progress earned during the free period will carry over to the full game if you decide to pick it up.
