Suge Knight Facing Indictment For Death Threats Against Straight Outta Compton Director

Knight, 52, appeared in a downtown Los Angeles courtroom Thursday and pleaded not guilty to a grand jury indictment accusing him of threatening death or bodily injury against director F. Gary Gray on August 8, 2014.

The indictment against Knight alleges he made specific threats against Gray that conveyed "an immediate prospect of execution", leading Gray to fear for his life and the safety of his family. One of the biggest things that came from Death Row Records was the infamous feud between East Coast and West Coast rappers. He's set to be arraigned on Thursday (Aug. 3), which will make more than six months since the indictment was filed. Knight has been indicted for threatening Straight Outta Compton's director, F. Gary Gray.

In January 2015, Suge is accused of intentionally accelerating through a parking lot during the filming of a commercial for the movie and hitting two men who played extras. The events that followed left veteran music industry manager Terry Carter dead, permanently impaired actor Cle "Bone" Sloan and led to Knight's detainment ever since. The trial for that case will begin in January 2018, and if convicted, Knight could face life in prison. Although it appears it doesn't take much for Suge to want to murder you, CNN reports that this particular outburst was due to Suge's intense displeasure over his portrayal in the movie.
