The same press release boasted that Tripwire had been working on Xbox One X specific enhancements, including 4K support.

Indeed, although it's very easy to point at the lack of 4K capability and 60 fps as a negative, Nintendo have reminded the world that such PC gaming-like qualms were never why console gaming took off in the first place. Elder also said that the game runs at a higher frame rate on the Xbox One X than on the base Xbox One. 1800p was the sweet spot where the game experienced optimal balance between visual quality and performance.

Despite the fact that the game runs at a higher frame rate compared to the base Xbox One at a resolution of 1800p there are no distinct frame rate targets for Xbox One X. There will be Ultra textures used on Xbox One X and the resolution of the shadow map and shadow draw distance is being increased, added Elder.

Assassin's Creed Origins runs at 4K on Xbox One X. We all knew that. So far, we're talking about at least 80 titles and while not all of them will come with 4K HDR support, each will reportedly be improved in some crucial way or another when played through the Xbox One X upon its November 7 release to the market. What that does on Xbox One X is it enables us to render the game in full 4K.

Killing Floor 2 will run in native 1080p, development team made a decision to abandon 4K due to frame drops.

The game was initially released for the PlayStation 4 and PC in November a year ago. What it enables for us is we built a dynamic resolution system. We like that because it means the industry will grow because the better the experiences, the more people want to have it.

It's unclear just when will hear more on the subject and whether Bungie will wait until the Xbox One X actually launches, to make a big announcement.
