Pocket Edition Beta: How to join or leave the Beta Testing Program?

Parrots, coarse dirt, player permissions, split screen, and much more are part of the update. With that being the case, there are some features that will be added to these versions of the game that will not be avaliable on other console platforms.

In a blog post published on Monday, Mojang's Marsh Davies announced that the cross-platform beta has started to roll out for Windows 10 PCs and Android devices. On Android, it will be available to those who have already bought the game via the Google Play Store.

The new update enters beta today but it will not be available for every platform right away.

Meanwhile, Windows 10 users will need the Xbox Insider Hub app to get in on the beta. Unfortunately, beta testing is unavailable on Android devices without the Google Play Store, on iOS devices, or on Windows 10 devices. Then, using that app, navigate to Insider content Minecraft Beta and choose "Join". This is a fantastic step forward for uniting players who want to play together on the same game across several different platforms, and if you want to try the Better Together update, it's accessible if you want to give it a whirl.

Download and install Xbox Insider Hub.
