Elon Musk confirms Tesla Model 3 performance version coming next year

Tesla also is set to report its second-quarter results after the market close on Wednesday. This had jumped to a loss of -$1.68 seven days ago.

Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA)'s stock had its "outperform" rating reaffirmed by analysts at Robert W. Baird in a research report issued on Wednesday, July 5th.

As per reports, and the global production efforts, Model 3 in not expected to launch in India this year or next year.

The first deliveries of Tesla's more affordable electric saloon began on Friday, but United Kingdom advance orders won't be fulfilled until 2019 at the earliest. (NASDAQ:TSLA) by 1.4% during the second quarter, according to its most recent disclosure with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Tesla is already known for its huge cash burn.

US based company, Tesla, Inc. It sold 76,230 cars past year. The electric vehicle producer reported ($1.97) earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter, missing the Zacks' consensus estimate of ($0.67) by $1.30.

At the event, the company announced its first vehicle marketed at to the masses. It joins the Model S, a luxury sedan, and the Model X, an SUV, in Tesla's all-electric line-up. (NASDAQ:TSLA) traded down 3.42% during mid-day trading on Monday, reaching $323.62.

Analysts' mean recommendation for Tesla, Inc. Goldman cut its price target on Tesla stock to $180 while Cowen gave an even lower price target of $155. It's unclear how Tesla will be able to product 20,000 cars a month in a factory where space is already tight. Berenberg Bank raised Tesla from a "hold" rating to a "buy" rating and lifted their price target for the stock from $193.00 to $464.00 in a research note on Tuesday, June 13th. However, the stock has recovered some of the lost ground since then. The stock's 50-day moving average price is $348.29 and its 200 day moving average price is $299.70. Tens of thousands of people (estimates have been as high as 500,000) have placed a $1,000 refundable deposit to reserve the Model 3. But due to the change in polarity rule, the moving average will be a strong resistance level.

"We're designing the Model 3 to ideally not require service".

The Model 3 "remains a de-contented, smaller version of the Model S; and the production vehicle showed no incremental (human-machine interface) features from the vehicle unveiled a year ago", they said in a note Monday. Tesla will first produce the $44k model.

Investors and customers will be keenly watching for any updates regarding the delivery timeline during the earnings call. The deliveries of the left-hand-drive Model 3 will begin from the second half of 2018.

Wednesday will be a bit early to get a handle on how well production is going, or sales for that matter, but founder Elon Musk is not once to pass up the opportunity to provide a sound-bite or two (thousand), so there will nearly certainly be an upbeat outlook statement from him. The company has warned that any trouble with getting parts from suppliers could delay production plans. Right now Tesla is trying to get through "production hell" before it adds extra versions of the Model 3, which should take about six months.

So, what now? Once the date is announced, the biggest problem for Tesla would be the production side of things.
