Asus Zenfone 4 Pro appears online, showcases specs and inbuilt system

Asus has sent out media invites for an event in the Philippines, scheduled on August 19, where the Asus Zenfone 4 will be officially launched. The Taiwan-based tech company has already unveiled its Asus Zenfone 4 Max mobile device in Russian Federation alongside with few other countries.

Asus recently launched the ZenFone AR phone in India at Rs 49,990.

The press invitation itself doesn't reveal much, save for the, "We 3 Photo" branding near the bottom indicating that the ZenFone 4 will have a strong focus on camera performance. The promo makes it quite clear that the phone will come out into the markets with dual cameras. They are all set to start off with their next big launch, that of the ASUS ZenFone 4. The event invite has been shared by Android Police.

Under the ZenFone 4 series, Asus is set to launch five phones, including - ZenFone 4 (ZE554KL), ZenFone 4 Max (ZC554KL), ZenFone 4 Pro (Z01GD), ZenFone 4 Selfie (Z01M), and lastly the ZenFone 4V (V520KL/A006). The smartphone is the world's second smartphone to support Google's Tango technology. It is driven by Snapdragon 835 chipset and 6 GB of RAM. Comes with 8GB of RAM coupled with 128GB of internal memory which can be further expandable via a micro-SD card slot. It is expected to feature a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED QHD display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. Further, the ZenFone AR comes with leather and aluminum body along with a screen-to-body ratio of nearly 79 per cent. As the name suggests, it will be a selfie-centric smartphone. It will likely to have a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 16-megapixel front shooter.

Asus has gradually become a larger player in the smartphone market with the expansion of it budget phones over the past few years.
