Google Pixel 2 renders and video leak again

We expect to see the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 announced in October, if Google follows a similar launch pattern to the original duo.

The teased renders of the smartphones hint us that the design doesn't seem to be different from the last iteration of Google's Pixel smartphone concerning its appearance.

Otherwise, for those who want to hang on to their wired headphones, you might have to use a dongle like you do with the iPhone 7. But even more worrying - no headphone jack.

Pixel 2 is expected to get the dimensions 145.3 x 69.3 x 7.8 mm, with extra 0.4 mm of the camera bump. The renders were created by Twitter user @OnLeaks, who has a good track record in the past.

The new leak aligns nicely with earlier renders and an earlier video meaning this could very well turn out to be it.

Upon release, both devices will most definitely run Android 8.0, Google's latest mobile operating system. You can also see the Google logo near the bottom of the rear panel. The right houses volume controls and power on/off button, while at the left, there is a SIM slot. Well, it appears that the search giant has ditched the 3.5 mm standard this year and went with just a single USB Type-C port. Other rumored specs include a 2770mAh battery, 4GB of RAM, and a 4.97-inch 1080p AMOLED display (on the smaller model, at least).

Crucial observations: No dual cameras for both phones, unfortunately. However, renders of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL have surfaced on the internet before the launch. Now rumors have it that Google may be doing the same with their upcoming Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones. However, these bezels are way smaller than previous year's Google Pixel.
