Renato Sanches may be heading to AC Milan on loan

Bayern Munich's CEO dismissed reports that the Bavarians would be entering the race to sign Alexis, having already completed the signing of Real Madrid star James Rodríguez.

The Bayern Munich CEO was quoted as saying by TZ when asked about Sanchez: "I don't know what he said, but we are no longer involved".

"We are in agreement with the coach [Carlo Ancelotti] and we won't be doing another deal for an attacker. No agreement, however, has been reached", Rummenigge told reporters.

Bayern had reportedly been vying with Manchester City to sign the 28-year old from Arsenal, but talks on contract extension at the Emirates have been stalling any possible move.

And each of those clubs could offer Sanchez the Champions League football he craves - although he's admitted this weekend that his future is not in his hands.

"It depends on them".

The Italian heavyweights want to create a competitive side that will challenge Juventus for major honours next year and in order to do that, they want to add more quality players to their ranks. "It's a dream I have had since I was little". Sanchez is now on holidays at his home town, and so, is not with his teammates.

Arsenal's squad are now on a pre-season tour of China where they will play two matches - Sanchez is not present having been given an extended summer break after competing for Chile in the Confederations Cup.

The Gunners will play next wednesday in Shanghai against Bayern, who will at the same time be kicking off their pre-season tour of China and Singapore.
