Adding characters from a different franchise can attract their fans to your game.

Fatal Fury's Geese Howard will join the Tekken 7 roster later this year as part of Bandai Namco's DLC plans for the title. No other characters have been confirmed just yet, but it's likely we'll see a few more announced in the months ahead. You can check out some of his combos and judo grabs in the trailer below. At first, he made sure to share to give Dragon Ball FighterZ some love before delving into the game he's still fine tuning to perfection - Tekken 7. I personally feel that Akuma does not belong in Tekken 7's story canon, and players shouldn't be forced to use him to complete the story mode.

While Geese and his new stage's release is a bit far away (Winter 2018), at least Tekken 7 is getting some extra goodies for the summer.

Geese Howard debuted in the first Fatal Fury, which came out in 1991 for the Neo Geo.

Bandai Namco and Capcom recently partnered in a major initiative to ensure more Tekken x Street Fighter crossovers.
