Dileep's bail plea rejection a warning for offenders: Angamaly court

The court dismissed his plea after the prosecution heavily objected to it stating that there were chances of him influencing witnesses including Pratheesh Chacko, former counsel of Pulsar Suni, and Appunni, his aide. Special Prosecutor A Sureshan has said the prosecution has nothing to hide.

However the prosecution opposing the bail plea said if he was released on bail Dileep might humiliate the actress and might obstruct her from doing her job. Dileep has been charged for criminal conspiracy in the abduction and assault of the actress and also destruction of evidence in the case.

The government lawyer also pointed out that no accused arrested in connection with the case had been granted bail. Prime accused Pulsar Suni was the personal driver of Mukesh for a year, after which he was removed. The court asked the prosecution to prepare an inventory of the cellphones. Though Dileep was taken to Aluva sub jail, he was brought back to the court for some time. "I am absolutely innocent and had already cooperated with the investigation team", said the bail petition, moved in the High Court.

The actor will appeal to the High Court next.

The investigating officials of the kidnapping and the alleged sexual assault of the Malayalam actress have apparently secured a crucial piece of evidence, a memory card that allegedly contained the obscene pictures of the survivor.

Dileep allegedly has two phones and if the permission comes through, police will get valuable information that will go as evidence against the actor.

Police reportedly conducted a search in the house of Dileep in search of the mobile phones. Then police arrested Malayalam actor Dileep on a Monday night. Yesterday, the court had extended his police custody till today. Right now, Dileep is in custody and every day a new story has been emerging about Dileep and the Malayalam industry at large.

Now, the actress has come forward expressing willingness to record her statement.
