Beyonce has finally shared the first photo of her newborn twins.

By now you would have all seen the ethereal image of Beyoncé cradling her baby twins. However, fans on Twitter just have one question about the name of these babies after reading Beyoncé's caption on Instagram.

The couple married in 2008 and welcomed Blue Ivy in 2012.

Bey and Jay - who also have five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy - have remained tight-lipped about the arrival of their twins until now.

Speculation emerged about the twin babies having the names Sir and Rumi when trademarks were filed for the names by a company Beyonce and Jay-Z own, according to TMZ.

"SIR AND RUMI CARTER ARE HERE AND I AM LIVING FOR IT", read another tweet by vega blue (@vibeologyblue). The couple did not officially announce the birth, though in late June several outlets such as CNN and E! reported the twins had been born, citing anonymous sources. Lovely picture ... happy holidays '.

The singer, 35, posted the picture on Friday, June 14, in which she stands in a Palomo Spain outfit while proudly holding her babies.

Bey announced she was expecting in February, posting a photo that has since become the most liked Instagram photo of all time.

The singer introduced Sir and Rumi Carter to the world this afternoon (Australian time) and we literally flipped our lids! "We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes".
