1 winning Powerball ticket sold in California worth $447M

But Alberre said he has no idea which customer bought the ticket with all six numbers in Saturday night's drawing of the multi-state Powerball lottery.

The owner of the California deli that sold the sole jackpot winning Powerball ticket on Saturday calls the win "unbelievable".

The numbers drawn were 32, 26, 20, 38, 58.

Lottery officials said one ticket, purchased in Sun City, California, matched all the numbers for the grand prize.

The last First State Powerball victor was last December when a winning ticket worth almost $121 million was sold at a Selbyville gas station.

If they choose to take a cash prize, they walk away with $279.1 million.

Powerball is played in 44 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The biggest jackpot ever to be up for grabs was £66million in January a year ago, which was won by two lucky ticket holders. Both prize amounts would be before taxes are deducted.

Alberre said the store does not yet have any plans for what they will do with the $1 million bonus.

This big score will come in handy for Alberee's family, after his was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis earlier this year.

At the jackpot for Wednesday's drawing there will be $40 million.

The store is at 27985 Bradley Road in the Sun City community in the city of Menifee.

No one has won the jackpot since April 1, thus the reason for its large size.

Menifee has about 89,000 residents.
