Draft is next up during NBA's dizzying days of deals

The 76ers are expected to take Markelle Fultz with the first overall pick.

Boston will receive the 2018 first-round pick of the Los Angeles Lakers - if that selection falls between the No. 2 to No. 5 range.

Fultz must be an exciting talent if he's likely to be drafted first on Thursday despite not playing in the NCAA Tournament with the Washington Huskies.

Heading into this week, the Boston Celtics, through the lottery, had attained the number one overall pick while the Philadelphia 76ers garnered the third pick in this year's draft.

Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball were front and center when all the expected top picks took their traditional photo before Thursday night's National Basketball Association draft.

"We felt like we were in the right position to make a deal". There's not a guy in the draft that will out-compete him; there's no way. Like Fultz before him, Tatum said he broke down film with head coach Brad Stevens. While I can understand the skepticism concerning their ability to coexist, each seemingly much better with the ball in their hands than playing off, there are some promising signs in my opinion as to their fit together and with time this has the makings of a unsafe combination for the rest of the league. "That's what we talked about". "You've got basically three big time college-age kids at the pro level, that can kind of grow together".

"Pay attention to my footwear", the Washington guard said. He can shoot over them as I chronicled above but he can also face up and attack the basket with his variety of moves off the dribble and his physical nature as a finisher.

LOVING LONZO - AND LAVAR: Ball acknowledged that there might be a "target" on him entering the draft because of all his father's comments. After getting what he's wanted all along (Lonzo to the Lakers), hopefully he'll cool it down. "Nobody went in thinking we were going to lose that many games", Fultz said recently after a workout with the Los Angeles Lakers.

"They went great", he said. And for the fans, they get to watch the highs and lows of the players as they get their name called or as their name slips lower than most would have projected.

"I'm a competitor", Fultz said.

Now, the experiences of Simmons and Fultz have put out a new message that could grow in strength as we dive into the second decade of the one-and-done era: "Play wherever you want and lose as much as you want for a few months". Of the 20 players expected to be in the green room, 13 were college one-and-dones.

In this draft profile, we'll be looking at the strengths, weaknesses, and comparisons in the National Basketball Association. The Aussie missed all of last season with a foot injury.

"I'm just like you; I have no idea", Isaac told reporters on Wednesday. As soon as I get there, I'm doing whatever I have to do to get to winning.
