Reports swirl about Beyonce's twins, but no confirmation yet

On Saturday, June 18, news broke that Beyoncé has reportedly given birth to her twins earlier this week, according to Us Weekly.

Beyoncé's father Mathew Knowles became the first of the Carter clan to comment on the births Sunday, when he took to Twitter to share a sweet birthday e-card to his new grandchildren.

Reports she had become a mum began swirling this week when rapper Jay Z missed his Songwriters Hall of Fame induction in New York City on Thursday night (15Jun17).

The superstar entertainer announced in an Instagram post in February that she and Jay Z were enlarging the family, "growing by two", she said at the time. News that Beyoncé had given birth to twins in Los Angeles, although the gender of the babies wasn't known.

She posted a photo showcasing her attractive baby bump with the caption, "We would like to share our love and happiness".

Though Knowles is grandfather to the twins, the 65-year-old found out about Beyonce's pregnancy via social media just like the rest of the world.

"Jay and I are also fools for our daughters, although he's going to have me beat once those two twins show up", he said. "We have been blessed two times over", Bey captioned the photo at the time.

She has made appearances at events like the 2017 Grammy's where she inspired with her performance, the Beauty and the Beast LA premier as well as plenty of others. While she performed at the Grammys to rave reviews, she postponed plans to headline the Coachella Music Festival until 2018.
