'Game Of Thrones': Has Jon Snow's Real Name Been Revealed?

This would confirm a fan theory that started circulating after Jon Snow's parentage was revealed in season six, when Lyanna Stark whispered what's believed to be Jon Snow's true name to Ned Stark upon her death.

One month before the release of Season 7 of Game of Thrones, was the real name of Jon Snow disclosed by mistake?

In the interview, Wright discusses how Bran, who witnessed Ned Stark's sister Lyanna giving birth to Jon Snow, "could change the entire story" with this newfound information. We now know who Jon Snow's parents are, but what we didn't realize is that there may be more to what his intended name was.

"Game of Thrones" popularized as "GOT" has been fans favorite since day one because of it's unique sets and vast plots.

This confirmed he's not the bastard son of Ned Stark and further intensified rumours that his fate lies with Daenerys (the Targaryens are fond of incest after all).

But a Reddit post, which claims to have details from an upcoming issue of Empire, claims his name if in fact Jaehaerys Targaryen. On the /r/GameofThrones subreddit, user sparkledavisjr broke down his theory on why Jon Snow's name could be Jaehaerys.

The clip explained 'in the last episode of [GOT] season 6, Bran [Stark's] psychic time-traveling green sight revealed the true nature of Jon's birth heritage and his real me: Jaehaerys Targaryen'.

Redditor theshivsharma posted an image Thursday claiming to show a preview from the magazine, which states Jon's real name is Jaehaerys ― and that Bran knows the truth. He was known by three names: Jaehaerys the Conciliator, Jaehaerys the Wise, and Jaehaerys the Old King, as he reigned for 55 years, making him the longest reigning Targaryen king.

Well, when it comes to Jon Snow (Kit Harington), a lot. Jaehaerys restored stability to the realm, ended the Blackfyre threat during the war of the Ninepenny kings, and improved relations with the major houses who were unhappy during his father's rule (Aegon V - Egg, the brother of Maester Aemon).

Season 7 of Game Of Thrones premieres July 16 on HBO.

To be clear, that name is still unofficial because HBO and Martin himself haven't confirmed it to be true...yet. It would make sense that Lynna Stark would name her son Jaehaerys, because it is a traditional Valyrian name that carries honor with it.
