Bellerin 'torn' on Barca move

Arsenal full-back Nacho Monreal has said that Hector Bellerin will "almost certainly" stay at the club this summer despite growing speculation linking him with a move to Barcelona.

The full-back has always been linked with a Camp Nou return although Barca are also reportedly interested in signing Benfica's Nelson Semedo.

"I have spoken to Bellerin but it is not an easy situation because Arsenal trusted in him since he was a boy", Suarez told TV3.

The 22-year-old agreed a six-and-a-half year contract extension in November and is unlikely to force through an exit, meaning his fellow Spanish full-back could offer an optimistic assessment of the likelihood that Bellerin will stay at the Emirates.

Suarez, who re-joined Barcelona last summer after an impressive year at Villarreal, has now revealed that Bellerin has also considered returning to Catalonia, but his loyalties to Arsenal remain strong.

Steve Nicol explains why the time is right for Hector Bellerin to leave Arsenal and return to Barcelona.

Arsenal have their Spain global star tied down until 2022.

"He's an Arsenal player and nearly certainly he will stay here", Monreal told Mundo Deportivo.

"Hector is a very important player for us and the coach has already told him that".

"Now they will have to negotiate between the clubs and we will see what happen but nearly for sure he will continue with us". I really don't know what is going to happen but I wish he can come.
