Savannah, Ga. (WJCL) - The early half of the day has been rain-free, but since the early afternoon a few t-showers have popped-up across the area this Saturday. On Monday, a cold front will bring our final chance of showers and storms of the week into the area. Chance of showers and storms during the afternoon.

Storms will increase from southwest to northeast on Sunday, with highs in the low 80s. That activity will likely be most widespread during the afternoon. Overnight low's will cool off into the upper 60's low 70's with partly to mostly cloudy skies.

While Sunday should not be a washout - and again, some will watch rain and thunderstorms drift by in the distance - passing heavy rain is a possibility. Partly cloudy Saturday, high in the mid 90's. Rain chances are down to 20% overnight.

Thursday - A chance of showers. It is possible that the dry period could last for more than a week. As a result, the chance for shower or storm will remain in the forecast at 20% similar to today. All total models indicate that we might expect to see about an inch of new rain in our rain gauge from now through Tuesday. Partly cloudy skies are expected Sunday.
