Minnesota police department wins Twitter again with hilarious 4/20 tweet

On this national holiday for stoners, one Minnesota police department used a little levity on a topic that usually gets a lot of negative attention.

A photo of a Minnesota police department's "undercover 4/20 operations" went viral after being shared on social media Thursday. A picture sent over Twitter shows a Wyoming, Minnesota Police Department squad auto and police officer standing nearby with a net, ready to pounce. "#Happy420", the department tweeted.

Undercover #420 operations are in place.

The Wyoming Police Department's 4/20 tweet from a year ago featuring a cardboard box "trap" with Cheetos and Doritos also went viral.

"Discreet traps have been set up throughout the city today", police said.

The WPD followed up on the tweet by noting, "All jokes aside, substance abuse is a real issue".

The department also offered help and resources to those struggling with chemical abuse issues, and assured that jail time will not await those seeking help. Last year, the department tried to "catch" smokers by placing Doritos and Cheetos under a classic box-and-stick trap.
