Dana White predicts massive payday for a Mayweather-McGregor boxing match

Earlier this week, TMZ caught up with UFC President Dana White, and when asked about a possible Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather fight, White said the bout was "still not close" to happening.

The retired boxing great Floyd Mayweather, having initially been mentioned alongside McGregor as no more than a pipe dream of fight fans, is suddenly looking like the most likely next opponent for McGregor.

"McGregor - Mayweather is probably going to happen". "And if the fight sells as well as I think it can, Floyd makes a little north of $100 (million) and Conor makes $75 (million)". If he fights him, you have to do boxing, for me and him, all we have to do is get it licensed and sanctioned in one state and he would have to make 145.

"Join me in the preparation of my next fight being announced very soon!". It really doesn't but Conor wants this thing really bad and I've said this many times, kid's stepped up and saved some big fights for me.

"I'm a smaller guy but if I want to get to that seven figure payday, I got to call "The Mac Life", he explained.

McGregor originally had a rematch with Nate Diaz planned for UFC 200 on July 9, 2016, but that fight was pulled from the event after Notorious failed to fulfill his media obligations related to the fight. "Or I don't need "The Mac Life", I can keep doing what I'm doing now". Maybe the Mayweather side can't be done. "I promised Conor I'd do everything I could to make this thing happen, so that's what I'm gonna do".

McGregor has certainly made a lot of "cheese" in the past year with all the success he has had, and he could make a lot more "cheese" if his proposed super-fight with Mayweather goes ahead, as that has the potential to be the first ever billion-dollar fight. If were close, I'd tell you we were close. It's not going to have anything to do with the UFC.

Conor McGregor and his friends did some pretty serious partying in Liverpool last week, and the mess left behind at a hotel suite might provide some indication as to how hard they went.
