Carrie Underwood Surprises Husband Mike Fisher's Nashville Predators with National Anthem Performance

Fiala was robbed by Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford earlier in the extra session, but he would not be denied on his second great opportunity to cap off the Predators' come-from-behind victory.

A pair of National Hockey League playoff games went to overtime at press time Monday night.

The biggest issue I have in the first three games is that the Chicago Blackhawks are getting out worked by the Nashville Predators which isn't something we are used to watching especially for three straight games. Carrie Underwood, a seven-time Grammy Award victor, performed the national anthem.

The Blackhawks held a 2-0 lead at the end of two periods, having scored a pair in the second frame.

They can thank a 20-year-old playing the fourth postseason game of his career for putting them in that position.

"I think it's the type of penalty - that stuff was kind of let go all game", said Bruins left wing Brad Marchand.

And it worked out fine for the Predators, who won 3-2 to put themselves on the brink of the second round.

"Wwe're really hungry and we know what's at stake", goalie Pekka Rinne said.

Rinne made 34 saves, even with his franchise playoff scoreless streak ending early in the second period at 141 minutes, 5 seconds. He'll be on the call for Fox Sports Tennessee Thursday night as the Predators host the Chicago Blackhawks looking to complete the four-game sweep.

Dennis Rasmussen and Patrick Kane each scored the first goals this series for the Western Conference's No. 1 seed. If anything, the rookie forward's overtime game-winner three minutes later, his backhand drive narrowly gliding by Crawford's outstretched glove, is made more memorable because of it.

"Now we've talked about momentum in the series and momentum within a game", Gulutzan said.

Asked if this group can bounce back, Quenneville had a short answer: "We're going to have to".

"Sure", captain Jonathan Toews said. "We have a couple days here to regroup, maybe slow it down a little bit here to catch our breath, to get excited about just trying to win one game and get back to Chicago".

In overtime, he was the man... generating scoring chances nearly everytime he touched the puck, Crawford stoned him twice before he finally broke through with the game victor, cranking the Bridgestone Arena insanity level up to 10... Crawford got a glove on a puck almost midway through the extra period off Fiala's shot from the high slot. Fiala would have the last laugh putting it past the Chicago netminder after a poorly placed Marian Hossa drop pass with 3:16 remaining in the first overtime. Carrie said, "Got that #PredsPride baby, from my fingers to my toes!"

"I was pretty angry there", he said.

The Ugly - The lack of respect being given to this Nashville team's performance... the reason the Preds are up 3-0 is because of how well this team has played and knocked Chicago back on its heels.
