Starbucks calls shifting-color drink a Unicorn Frappuccino

Social media has been abuzz with rumors of a new Starbucks drink for a while, and now, those rumors have been confirmed.

But like the mystical creature, the drink is quite elusive - and will only be available in stores in the United States, Canada, and Mexico through the end of the weekend. The talk started last Wednesday, according to Food & Wine, when a Reddit user uploaded a (now deleted) photo of blue dust to the site, captioned as "Unicorn frapp topping". Here's everything you need to know about the insane colorful Unicorn Frappuccino you can get at Starbucks!

Starbucks says the specialty item is a mix of mango syrup and "pleasantly sour" blue drizzle. "The more swirl, the more the beverage's color and flavors transform".

'Starbucks is releasing a new Unicorn Frappuccino and my life is now complete, ' wrote one, adding a unicorn emoji.

Before Starbucks officially announced the drink, there was speculation on the internet that it was coming. First it will be "sweet and fruity", but stirring the drink will change the flavor to "tangy and tart".

One Starbucks barista who posted the drink on Instagram, said that the flavor reminds him of a too sweet mango smoothie.

Earlier this month, Seattle-based Starbucks also introduced a "Pink Drink" made with coconut milk and topped with strawberries.
