Deputies: 2 men shot dead at mall restaurant in Tucson

April 16 Authorities say the shooter in a murder-suicide inside a restaurant at an upscale Tucson mall was a Tucson Fire Department captain.

Authorities say the shooting occurred some time before 7:30pm Friday night at the Firebirds Wood Fired Grill at La Encantada Shopping Center.

Sheriff's department spokesman Cody Gress told local media outlets that the woman was shot in the leg and her injuries are not life-threatening. Shortly after, she heard shots fired. Eliot Cobb, 65, was killed at the scene.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they found Bair and another man already deceased.

Officials said they believed the triple shooting may have been the result of a love triangle, with Bair having known the other man.

Frederick Bair was a captain at Tucson Fire Department.

Toni Esquibel was celebrating her daughter's 13th birthday with family and friends.

Two men were killed and a woman injured in a shooting Friday night at an Arizona mall, CNN reports.

"It looked like two gentlemen were fighting, it was hard to tell", Laura Harder told CNN affiliate KGUN. "I saw a gun come out and he just shot him in the head right in front of us". Others said they saw a man held down by others inside the restaurant.

"There were probably about 10 shots".

Harder said the restaurant was full when she noticed something was happening at a nearby table.

As gunshots erupted, patrons began screaming and running out of the restaurant.
