Security concerns prompt cancellation of governor's annual Easter Egg Hunt

One-day VBS and egg hunt. Easter Eggs were stuffed by the area senior citizens at the local assisted living facilities and our Civil Air Patrol Cadets were on hand to spend time delivering the eggs to each facility.

To celebrate Easter in advance of Sunday's holiday, a number of community organizations will hold Easter egg hunts and other events. The Easter Egg hunt features different age categories.

The Easter Bunny will be making an appearance as well to take pictures. A donation to participate of $3.00 per child allows participation in the hunts.

1 p.m. - Delphos Optimist Easter Egg Hunt, Delphos: The even will be held at Delphos Stadium Park.

Easter in the Park will begin at 7 a.m. Sunday at Central Park in College Station.

Children can fill their baskets with treat-filled eggs that will be scattered on the baseball fields behind the Community Center.

Your Summit Church in Canyon is hosting a free Easter egg hunt at Southeast Park in Canyon from 10 noon on Saturday, April 15.

Come make an tree stump bunny box from 1 to 4 p.m. on both days. Ages four and under will be finding eggs in the south part of the park by the playground, 5-7 year olds will be in the centre section and those 8-10 will be in the northernmost part of the park.

Details: Kids age 10 and under should bring their own baskets and get ready to gather up eggs full of candy and toys. The event will include an egg hunt in the orchard for kids, an orchard tour and free outdoor activities for kids of all ages. Only egg hunters need to be registered. Activities are planned from 11 1 p.m., with the hunt at noon.

It is open to all village residents ages 12 and younger. Rabbit is gone egg hunting.

Around 60 pooches searched for eggs, posed for snapshots in a photo booth, and roamed the grounds near the Black Creek on the cool, damp April evening alongside their human companions.
