Prey Demo Announced for Consoles

On the official Bethesda page for their game Prey, it has been announced that a short demo will be released for the re-imagining of the original IP.

The demo will encompass the first hour of the game where protagonist Morgan Yu finds out something is amiss on Talos I research station, including some trauma-induced amnesia. Lucky you, you can have exactly that when an hour-long demo - appropriately titled "Prey Demo: Opening Hour" - arrives for Xbox One and PS4 on April 27. What began as a normal first day of work, soon will take a dark turn. Instead, the inability to see how the game runs on PC will probably just fuel further suspicion of another port with dodgy problems.

Unfortunately for you, aliens have overrun the Talos I and have hunted and killed everyone on board, with Morgan trying to stop them and getting out alive.

If you want to dive into Prey before the demo- you're in luck! Should these creatures reach Earth, life as you know it will end.

Prey, published by Bethesda Softworks and developed by Arkane Studios, is a 3D shoot-em-up which pitches you against a hostile alien race. The demo will allow fans to board Talos I and play the opening hour before the worldwide launch of the game. As Morgan, you'll have to fight the invasion in order to save humanity.

Prey is using CryEngine (as opposed to Dishonored 2's odd id Tech 4 "Void Engine" hybrid), so there is every chance that it'll run better on PC.
