The Republican Governors Association ought to be pleased, as these results indicate the group has done an excellent job of finding Republican politicians appealing enough to be elected and remain popular in traditionally blue states.

Christie unceremoniously leads Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback and Connecticut Gov. Dan Malloy, each with 66 percent disapproval ratings.

Christie's approval rating has continued to drop in various polls over the a year ago, reaching record lows. According to the latest poll, Malloy has moved up from the number two most unpopular governor to the third most unpopular governor in the country.

The numbers were compiled through surveys of more than 85,000 registered voters between January 2017 through March 2017.

Only five USA senators had disapproval ratings that were higher than Stabenow's - Kentucky Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (47%); Arizona Republican John McCain (43%); South Carolina Republican Lindsey Graham (40%); Alaska Republican Lisa Murkowski (40%); and Missouri Democrat Claire McCaskill (39%).
