Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date: U.S. Pre-Orders Up Double Digits

Samsung is back, and in record-breaking form. Samsung might make slight changes to the new version.

But now the Galaxy S8 launch is out the way, all eyes are focussed on what comes next: the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. In India, pre-registrations have gone live, but there is no word on pre-orders, price, or overall availability. Consumers have been looking forward to it after the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco. The iPhone 8 is also rumored to look a lot like Samsung's new smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is one smartphone that will go down in history. The most popular version in South Korea is now the Galaxy S8 Plus 128 Gigabyte model, which is the first model in Korea to have a 6GB RAM. It is the first Samsung phone in South Korea to pack 6GB RAM. It's powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 and though the Snapdragon 835 just launched and is powering the Galaxy S8 series, the previous generation flagship is no slouch by any stretch. This 5.1in smartphone (1920 x 1080 pixels) notably stood out from its predecessor with a fingerprint reader and a virtually instant autofocus. There are some inconsistencies in the alleged Note 8 device including the lack of sensors near the speaker grille and the lack of the iris scanner sensor, Phone Arena reported. S8 has become the next level of the S7 and Samsung's new flagship due to its impressive screen and great spec upgrades. Its accurate color representation, high resolution, curved design, HDR support, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection set the Galaxy S8 display apart from rivals.

Last month, Samsung introduced its personal assistant Bixby to compete with Apple's Siri and Google Assistant.

Galaxy C7 Pro features a 16MP rear camera as well as a 16MP front camera both with an f1.9 aperture lens. Also of interest will be Samsung's earnings figures for the second quarter, which will include sales of the new S8.
