President Trump Now Uses an iPhone to Tweet

The head of social media for the White House (no, not Donald Trump) claims that the President is now using a "new iPhone" to make his Twitter posts.

According to Dan Scavino Jr., one of the United States president's advisors, Donald Trump has been using an iPhone for two years now. Because Bad old habits using android don't die fast, he might use android phone here and there to tweet. But, for nation's important communication, he is good on using iPhone.

As President of the United States, Donald Trump has access to some very sensitive information, so USA intelligence agencies must ensure that he has the most secure smartphone possible. While on the campaign trail, he called for a boycott of Apple's devices until the company complied with the government's demand to help unlock the iPhone 5c used by one of the San Bernardino shooters. This has led to speculation that either he was using an iPhone again or that he had given up personal control of his tweets and allowed aides take over.

But that raised concerns that Trump's older phone might be vulnerable to hacking.

A reply, it may be said, which seemed to be gently mocking Trump and possibly taking a public relations gamble on him not becoming president. What I think you ought to do is boycott Apple until such a time as they give that security number. As with most things in the Trump administration, the more information we get, the less we know.

Trump has spoken with Apple CEO Tim Cook at least twice, and Cook is reportedly going to advise the White House Office of American Innovation, a committee run by Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.

As with the Federal Bureau of Investigation they did not have anyone that was comfortable to make such a decision so they hired and/or bought a set of unsupported tools to hack the iPhone. In fact, it was recently revealed that Trump is now busy using a brand new iPhone. However, NBC appears to cast President Trump's decision to better protect himself from cyber attacks as a sign of hypocrisy.
