Delhi BJP on Thursday wrote to the State Election Commissioner seeking removal of all Delhi government's publicity materials like hoardings, posters and banners from all public properties across the national capital.

"There is a buzz from MCD polls in Chandigarh, Mumbai civic polls and the recently-concluded elections in five states. Hence, the present councillors and their family members will not be given tickets for the ensuing civic elections", said Tiwari.

In a bid to "infuse fresh blood" into the upcoming municipal polls, the Delhi BJP has made a decision to drop all its sitting councillors from the list of candidates.

On the issue of tampering of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), the AAP leader said the questions raised by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal were based on evidence and needed a proper answer. Municipal corporations in the capital have been headed by the BJP for the last 10 years.
