Romelu Lukaku Will Not Extend Contract With Everton

Despite reports in recent weeks claiming that Romelu Lukaku was close to a new Everton contract, it's now emerged that the Belgian has no intentions of inking any new deal with the club.

It depends on signings but when you see Romelu Lukaku signing a new contract, that's really good.

Sky Sports reported on Tuesday afternoon that the 23-year-old has told the Toffees that he will not sign a new contract with the club.

Equally, Everton could play hardball and resists all offers for the striker, but there is a good relationship between all parties, said the Telegraph. "Talks are ongoing. He will sign".

Lukaku has scored 20 goals in all competitions for the Toffees this term and the club were willing to make him their highest-paid player.

Lukaku is the Premier League's joint top scorer, along with injured Spurs striker Harry Kane.

Blues boss Antonio Conte is in the hunt for a new striker in the summer and has been heavily linked with a bid to bring Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge.

The Belgium worldwide is thought to be desperate to play in the Champions League, and is fully aware that that ambition is unlikely to be matched in the next few season at Everton.

However, the 23-year-old wants to be playing Champions League football and here are four clubs that could well be leading the way for his signature.

Lukaku joined Everton in 2014 on a club record fee of £28 million after a spell plagued by loans at Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho is also interested in signing his former Chelsea striker in the summer and Manchester United have shown that they are more than willing to do business with Raiola. "A deal is on the table and there is plenty of time".
