Overwatch announces Orisa release date; here's a behind-the-scenes video

With a steady stream of updates and new game modes, we won't be surprised to see the next Overwatch hero being a defence-based one.

This newly released video peers behind the scenes at Orisa's creation, from her early days as a Zarya/Bastion lovechild to later revelations about the type of character she is within the Overwatch fiction and how her abilities fit in alongside the game's current lineup of tanks.

You can find out more about Orisa by visiting her official hero page right here.

Blizzard has revealed the character will playable in the full game starting March 21, a week from today.

It's been a while since I've played Overwatch, but from what I'm hearing a character like Orisa is long overdue.

According to the video, Orisa "evolves and pushes the boundaries of what the Overwatch Universe could be".

Fusion Driver: Orisa's automatic projectile cannon delivers sustained damage, but slows her movement while she fires it.

Her alternate fire, Halt!, launches a graviton charge across the map, slowing nearby enemies as it passes, then pulling them toward it when it detonates.

Fortify: Orisa temporarily reduces damage she takes, and can not be affected by action-impairing effects.

Fortify is a pure tank ability, reducing Orisa's damage intake by 50 percent and making her immune to attacks that would cause her to move position or fall off a ledge.
