LeFou, played by Josh Gad, is Disney's first openly gay character and director Bill Condon's way of increasing lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender visibility on screen.

Now, speaking to Entertainment Weekly, she's not exactly extinguished said rumours, but perhaps reiterated that while she wanted to do the movie, her commitments were also with "Beauty and the Beast".

Russian politician Vitaly Milonov, who is threatening the ban, has not yet seen the film.

Beauty And The Beast hit the headlines for pushing boundaries by featuring an openly gay character and the reinvention of Belle in a feminist direction. "I also love the scene where Beast lets Belle go and sets her free, whether she decides to come back to him or not".

It is learnt that no further reason for the postponement was given, and there was no indication of when the new release date would be. "It's still one that I love, and my daughter now loves". In the case of 2017's Beauty and the Beast, the villain Gaston's sidekick, LeFou, receives a flamboyant makeover and an expanded storyline.

EMMA Watson has defended herself against diva accusations. "But it is a nice, exclusively gay moment in a Disney movie".

The three new selections join the existing Belle's Enchanted Rose, Belle Dress, and Belle's Signature Color dangles and charms, bringing the total number of pieces in Pandora's collection to six.

For now, the entire Twittersphere will continue to voice their displeasure with Disney's move to cancel showings of Beauty And The Beast in Malaysia-particularly those that live in Malaysia and were looking forward to its release.

The live action remake of classic fairy tale from Disney has been removed from cinema listings and postponed indefinitely, pending an "internal review" by film distributor The Walt Disney Co (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. But it was part of the up and down of this movie: "that we were about to make it, we were about to not make it, about to make it, about to not make it".
