Sales For Ivanka Trump's Brand Are Up

Abigail Klem, the president of the Ivanka Trump Collection, confirmed to Refinary29 that the increased interest was translating into increased sales.

President Trump's longtime attorney Michael Cohen said Friday that the sales data shows there is a clear victor in the Nordstrom v. Ivanka Trump debacle.

Online fashion store Lyst, one of the largest in the world, reported skyrocketing sales of Ivanka Trump products on february 9 - the same day Conway told Fox viewers she "hates shopping", but that she would "get some, myself, today".

Michael Cohen the longtime attorney for President Donald Trump said on Friday that sales data had showed there was a victor in the differences between Nordstrom and Ivanka Trump.

In February, Neiman Marcus and Nordstroms announced they would quit selling Ivanka Trump-branded items.

Data from Lyst, a British e-commerce website that tracks online sale items, backs her claim.

"For several different retailers, Ivanka Trump was a top performer online, and in some of the categories it was the best performance ever", Klem said. January 2017 the brand was #550 in order count, and showed an incredible sales increase of 346% from January 2017 to February 2017.

What was most interesting, however, was the date of the biggest one-day spike, a day when sales had risen by a whopping 219 percent from the previous day. The company's perfume became Amazon's bestseller, and the online giant replaced Nordstrom as the largest seller of the brand, CNBC reported on Thursday. "To see such an extreme spike in one month is completely unheard of and came as a huge surprise to us", Sarah Tanner, Lyst's United States spokesperson, said.

Comparing the share price and sales figures is not indicative of much.

Ivanka Trump's eponymous women's clothing line is booming.

Whether the trend will continue in the future is uncertain, but Klem said they could see an eight percent increase in sales in March.

"We actually feel super optimistic because, I think, one, a lot of people support Ivanka, even across both political parties".

Ethical or not, it would seem that Kellyanne Conway's endorsement has boosted Ivanka Trump brand sales, according to a report from the Washington Post.

Nordstrom stock was up 4% during the period as well, but is lower by over 7% on the year.
