Fire damages an apartment at Trump's hotel

On Friday morning, a fire broke out at Trump International Hotel and Tower, The News York Daily News reports with the reference to local authorities.

The blaze erupted about 4:12 a.m. inside 1 Central Park West, near West 60th Street, an FDNY spokesman said.

The FDNY and Fire Marshall's office told Patch they are now investigating the cause of the fire.

One person was treated for smoke inhalation.

Officials said the fire was contained at around 5.20 am.

The building is 58 storeys high and is the 64th tallest building in NY. The New York City Fire Department rushed to the 52-story building and quickly put out the blaze. The upper floors were vented amid carbon monoxide concerns.
