Severe thunderstorm watch in Baltimore through Saturday night

We're keeping a close eye on Wednesday for the possibility of strong to severe thunderstorms across our area.

The National Weather Service in Cleveland is predicting the mild temperatures to stick around throughout the afternoon before dropping significantly tonight to the high 30s or low 40s.

A line of powerful storms is rolling through New Jersey this evening.

According to the weather service, western Pennsylvania is listed under a "marginal" risk for severe weather, with increasing levels of risk west, into OH and MI.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed a large part of Alabama under a risk for severe weather on Wednesday, with even higher probabilities for parts of north and central Alabama. Don't be lulled into complacency by the early day warmth!

Our weather will be changing quickly over the next 24 hours as a warmer and moist air mass returns to the state.

Some thunderstorms will move through the state Saturday night and a severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Litchfield County.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. The threat of seeing anything severe tomorrow will be very low.
