Fourth Wave of Threats against JCCs Includes Two More in NY

A bomb threat was called in Monday morning to a Jewish community center in Houston, officials said.

There were bomb threats in Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin.

The Jewish Community Center in Highland Park has been evacuated due to a bomb threat, according to St. Paul Police.

The JCC in Whitefish Bay evacuated due to a bomb threat on January 31, a day when more than a dozen JCCs around the country received a similar threat. In all, 48 JCCs in 27 states and one Canadian province received almost 60 bomb threats during January, according to a count by CNN. Van Nest declined to comment further on the Sabes investigation, noting it was an ongoing matter but did say agents would continue working to identify the source of the threat. No. 2, racism.
