No. 11 OR tops Stanford for record 16th straight win

OR basketball scored a nice Pac-12 win over Stanford tonight, but after the game, the program's Twitter account was pretty clearly hacked.

With Brooks potentially sidelined throughout the upcoming week, Tyler Dorsey figures to see additional minutes with Brooks' next opportunity to return coming Thursday against Utah.

Brooks led the Ducks in scoring with 16.7 points per game past year and is pacing the team with 13.4 points in 16 games this season.

OR shot 29 of 50 (58.0 percent) overall and 11 of 24 (45.8 percent) from 3-point range.

"The key to the game was points off turnovers", Benson said.

Marcus Allen scored 13 points to pace the Cardinal (11-9, 3-5), which shot 32.3 percent from the field while ending its three-game winning streak. Rebounds: Stanford 29 (Humphrey 6), OR 40 (Boucher 10).

Key statistic: OR had 40 rebounds to 29 for Stanford, the Ducks' biggest rebounding advantage in a conference game this year. The Ducks are 7-0 since Brooks replaced Chris Boucher as a starter. The Ducks, for their part, have routed their last six opponents by an average of 24.3 points.

There is no timetable for his return, OR announced on Saturday.

Brooks, who had offseason surgery on his left foot, limped off the court as OR was building a 44-30 halftime lead. The Cardinal hope to have leading scorer Reid Travis (16.6 ppg) back from a shoulder injury in time for a visit to California in eight days.

Oregon's chances of rejoining the Top 10 were helped Saturday when both No. 3 UCLA and No. 7 Creighton lost at home. "When guys are making plays for each other, we're pretty good".

OR has five players scoring in double figures, led by Brooks at 13.4 points per game, but none among the Pac-12's top 20 this season.

But that also speaks to the lack of competition in the Pac-12 right now. And among their remaining home games is a February 4 matchup against Arizona, which has won 12 games in a row.

- OR clinched a winning record for the seventh straight season, marking the first time it has not had a losing season in that span in the past 77 years.
