Aaron Rodgers Father Reacts to the Family Rift Rumors

In a New York Times story about the family rift, the National Football League star's dad, Ed Rodgers, said the family hasn't spoken to the Green Bay quarterback since the end of 2014.

Munn has been oft-speculated as the cause of the rift, though Us Weekly notes that there are conflicting reports about what led to the drama.

The chiropractor noted that he doesn't "think it's appropriate to talk about family stuff publicly", but did say, "Fame can change things".

Three weeks ago, Jordan, 28, and former Bachelorette JoJo, 26, traveled to the East Coast with his family, where the group enjoyed winter-themed activities together, including ice skating in ugly Christmas sweaters, pajamas and elf onesies.

In a feature on Rodgers from Karen Crouse of the New York Times, Rodgers' father Ed confirmed that Aaron does not speak with members of his family. On the show, Jordan told JoJo that his own relationship with his brother was strained, which was the first time many fans had heard of the rift. But for families that are already (somewhat) in the spotlight, being on a reality dating TV show doesn't seem that insane, and so it was for Jordan Rodgers.

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is in the spotlight as the Packers move towards the Super Bowl - winning vs. the Dallas Cowboys in the divisional round on Sunday, January 15th.

In 2016, rumors were rampant about the reasons for Aaron and Jordan's lack of contact as Jordan pursued a relationship with JoJo on The Bachelorette, but the new NY Times interview with patriarch Ed finally gives some insight into the dynamic.

He added that, "Airing public laundry is not what I would have chosen". "[But] it's good to have it all come out".

The show even went so far as to dramatize a family dinner in which two empty chairs were set aside for Aaron Rodgers and Olivia Munn. "We're all hoping for the best".

The season ended with Jordan proposing to Fletcher.

Although Aaron had yet to meet his brother's fiancée as of last August, Jordan told PEOPLE that his older brother is "absolutely" invited to his wedding.

Anyway. even though Aaron and Jordan haven't spoken in who knows how long, it doesn't mean that a reconciliation would be impossible.
