'Twin Peaks' Teaser Gives First Glimpse at Agent Cooper

Showtime released the new 30-second tease for the revival today and it's all about Agent Cooper. Immediately following the premiere, SHOWTIME subscribers will have access to the third and fourth parts, exclusively across the SHOWTIME streaming service, SHOWTIME ANYTIME (R) and SHOWTIME ON DEMAND (R). But to help ease the pain a bit, Showtime has unveiled a new promo video featuring series star Kyle McLachlan as FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper.

'This version of Twin Peaks is the "pure heroin" version of David Lynch, and I'm very excited to be putting that out, ' the network boss said. Hours three and four will also air back-to-back on Showtime on May 28th.

Much of the cast from the original series, which centered around a small-town murder of a handsome high school student in Washington state, will be back for the revival, and Lynch is directing the entire series.

In addition, on Saturday January 14th, Showtime is going to run the entire original 8-episode first season from 1990 in a marathon, so viewers who have never seen the original (or just fans who want to revisit the series) can catch up on the series before the new episodes begin in May. The full limited event series will be 18 hours. That's when Twin Peaks' first new episodes in over twenty years will debut on Showtime, in the US, at 9pm.

Agent Dale Cooper is making a comeback! As Cooper conducted his search for Laura's killer, the town's secrets were gradually exposed. Twenty-five years later, the story continues.
